How to Make Zorts Cards and Background Checks Required

Below are step by step instructions for an event administrator to make Zorts Cards and/or background checks required for their event.

      1. Access your account via a web browser at http://zortssports.com
      2. Select the organization under "ORGANIZE" - and then select the event you are working on
      3. Select 'Admin' > 'Eligibility'
 
 
 
      4. Under 'Zorts Card', select "YES" to require Zorts Player/Participant Cards
            a. If you would like to require government-issued photo IDs for verification, select "YES".
            b. If you would like to only allow Players/Participants to register to a single team (and not allow them to roster to multiple divisions) select "YES" under the question, "Would you like to limit participants to a single team?"
            c. Enter the age cutoff (Eligibility is based on the player/participant's age as of midnight on the cutoff date. For example, if the age cutoff date is January 1st, 2024, a player/participant must be the required age by January 1st, 2024, at 12:00 am, to qualify for their division).
 
 
 
      5. To make Zorts Coach Cards required, select "YES".
      6. To require Coaches to purchase background checks in addition to their Coach Cards, select "YES".
 
 
 
      7. Click "UPDATE" at the bottom of the page.

Once the Coach shares the link to sign up for the event to their players/participants and coaching staff, they will be prompted to purchase/link the Zorts Card.
The Zorts approval process is as follows:
  1. Zorts will verify the documents within 24-72 hours.
  2. The photo uploaded must be a clear headshot of the person.
  3. The document uploaded must match the person's name and date of birth.
  4. NOTE ********* The latest a card will be checked is in 72 hours.
